Let’s Celebrate!

The Villa Maria Community celebrated two ‘foundational moments’ on Fourvière Day– the pledge of the twelve newly ordained priests in the small chapel at Fourvière on 23 July 1816 and the foundation of the first community of Marist Sisters in England – in Spitalfields, London on 23 July 1858. Gratitude and thanksgiving for the first brave pioneer sisters was expressed through discussion, prayer and celebration.
