“Hope Slung over our Shoulders”

Inter-diocesan World Youth Day (Senegal)

From 26 to 28 January, some of our sisters had the blessing of participating in the 39^th Inter-Diocesan World Youth Day in Senegal. Teachings, carnivals, cultural songs and dances, moments of adoration and prayer were all part of this event for the youth of Senegal.

In his homily at the closing Mass, the Archbishop of Dakar Benjamin Ndiaye invited the young people to commit themselves to others by bearing witness to a true profession of faith that inspires support, because those who hope in the Lord will walk without tiring (Isaiah 40:31). He also invited them to be dynamic, generous and resourceful.
