Under 60s' Gathering - News 2

Mary Persico IHM is our facilitator; she is from the United States and is known by many Marist Sisters because she has been working with us since 2007.  She knows well our Marist charism.

Each of the 38 participants brought a significant symbol to talk about herself and her mission. This helped us to get to know each other better.

During our gathering we will cover six different topics, each one taking three days. Therefore our communications will be at the end of each topic.

Our first topic was contemplative dialogue. Through presentation by Mary and sharing in our home group we reflected on emotional intelligence, our qualities and talents. One of the experiences was to affirm another Sister in the group, which is helping to increase our trust in each other and to share our dreams.

In spite of the different cultures from which we come we believe we are building a culture of joy, which is an important feature of being Marist.

Each day we begin with a prayer guided by a number of Sisters.  Every day we have different priests joining us for Eucharist.
