Awarded for something she loves doing!
Linda received an award for outstanding contributions to the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, Nebraska, at Creighton University this month.
The Institute for Priestly Formation (IPF) presents its highest award, the medallion of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, to women and men “for their generous response to Mary’s call to live Jesus’ own life through acts of charity and lives that give witness to Christian hope.”
IPF was founded to assist bishops in the spiritual formation of diocesan seminarians and priests in the Catholic Church.
Linda has taught a month-long course to seminarians at the Jesuit University for 16 years. The course is entitled “Human and Spiritual Foundations for Receiving Celibacy as a Generative Gift.” During this time, she has taught approximately 500 students from many dioceses in the United States and beyond.
Linda said that she feels privileged to receive the award, and is grateful to the leadership of IPF and all the colleagues and students she has worked with. She added that it seems strange to receive an award for doing something she loves doing so much!
