CENTRE FOR POPULAR EDUCATION MARIA MÃE DA MISERICÓRDIA  

OF THE MARIST SISTERS OF CARUARU

Our mission is to develop all the participants of the space their protagonism in the s ociety, contributing to the human and cognitive formation of the students, families and educators in an affective and effective way. In this way, we seek to carry out different activities involving all people, without distinction of colour, sex, race or religious denomination. Thus, helping in a solidary and procedural way, in the formation of sensitive subjects contributing to a more human and fair society.

We seek to serve the community with our own pedagogy, aiming at the human being as the main subject of transformation of his environment, working and interacting in a playful way with education, culture and spirituality. To provide children, teenagers, young people, adults and their families with the opportunity to exchange knowledge through education, culture and spirituality, so that they can develop their abilities and transform their environment in a dynamic, creative and evaluative way.

 

HAVING AS OBJECTIVES:

- To provide children, adolescents, young people and adults with moments of education, culture and leisure:

- To promote pedagogical actions that contribute to the growth and transformation of children, adolescents, young people and adults, stimulating the sense of criticism, leading to participation and experience of the principles of citizenship;

- To offer a full support to the students in their educational process, acting as an intermediary between the family and the Centre.

- To involve the family and the community in the elaboration and participation of the activities;

- To value and motivate children and adolescents to develop their musical gifts through guitar and percussion;

- To give the community the opportunity and space to develop physical and cultural activities.

- To train adolescents, young people and adults through digital inclusion for the job market.

METHODOLOGY

- Continuous training for educators;

- Selection of teaching materials and content per class;

- Home visits;

- Monthly planning;

- Daily class of child education, school support, digital inclusion, percussion, guitar, capoeira workshop and meetings.

- Monthly evaluation with all educators.

- Presentation of teenagers in city events in other institutions.

- Celebration of festive and religious dates.

- Annual evaluation
