Sr Josephine who is in charge of the “Mother and Child Scheme” in CARITAS/PARI, organised a Christmas party for refugee children.  Thirty-nine  children of six countries ( Republic of Central Africa, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Chad and Mauritania) and their parents were invited to the celebration.

Several organisations participated in the ceremony among them, The High Commission for Refugees, Green Village NGO and members from a number of Religious Congregations..

Each child received a gift and we shared a good meal with them.  At the end of the day we could read the joy in the children’s faces.
