 Solstice time reminds us of the marvellous harmony of creation, that all is held in love by the Mystery of Life. Let us heed the call to care for this Common Home of ours as our Father Francis continually urges us, saying : "Truly much can be done!"

This week Cardinal Peter Turkson, head of the Vatican’s office on social and environmental concerns, said that the 1.5-degree limit is both “a physical [and] moral threshold,” our last chance “to save millions of the world’s poor.” He recognises the work of Laudato Si’ Generation, which urges us on as we “put an end to the era of fossil fuels, echoing the appeals of bishops throughout the world".
