Protecting children. Eradicating abuse
(https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2019-02/pope-francis-address-conclusion-protection-minors-abuse-vatiab.html)
In a major address on Sunday, Pope Francis contextualizes the “scourge” of abuse, and appeals for an “all-out battle against the abuse of minors, both sexually and in other areas.”
Let us unite in prayer for everyone
who is a victim of any kind of abuse through our Church,
asking God to to heal them and
restore peace and joy to their lives.

Let us pray, too, for our Father Francis and for all in positions of authority within the Church that they may act collaboratively
in accord with the promptings of the Holy Spirit and do all in their power to ensure that such abuse is eradicated for ever.

Let us pray for the perpetrators of abuse, for those who have covered it up
and exacerbated the suffering of children and vulnerable persons.
May they learn to live in truth.

May Mary intercede for all affected in any way by this crisis,
that we may grow through this darkness, walking forward, led by the Light of Christ.
