Hello everyone!  I hope you are following  and enjoying our Marist pilgrimage to our places of origin. Our third week began with the trip from Rome to Lyons. On our way to La Neylière we stopped in Fourvière to greet Mary and to place our pilgrimage and our vows in her care.  En route we were surprised to see Roman aqueducts at Chaponost!

 

The next day we received all the materials necessary for our journey, and the mission to care for our own little vine. Throughout all these important moments we were reminded that we are the first to be responsible to make this experience beautiful and life-giving.

 

Our first day of the journey began at Le Puy, a Marian sanctuary where Jean Claude Courveille received the inspiration to begin a Society bearing Mary’s name. We began with Mass in the Basilica followed up later by a visit to the St Michel Chapel.  Obviously after all the climbing we were glad to share a meal to celebrate Biri’s Birthday.  Upon our return, our moments of sharing were very enriching.  

 

Our second outing began with Mass with the Sisters in Pradines. We were warmly welcomed and we viewed a film of the life of the community in the abbey. In Coutouvre, members of the Coutouvre Association were waiting for us to share a meal together. Later, we visited Jeanne Marie Chavoin’s house. We gave thanks for the opportunity to visit the house of Jarnosse. Seeing the heart of our foundress revealed in the building was a beautiful experience. From there we visited the museum of Jean Claude Colin at Saint Bonnet-le-Troncy.  And there you have an outline of our journey so far.
