Happy Celebration of 50 years of Marist living and a Reunion!

Andrena Mulligan of the Unit of England celebrated her Jubilee belatedly but very joyfully with her community, family members and friends. She also turned back the pages to a special chapter in her life by visiting Casa Bethsaida, an orphanage on the Mexican-US border which she helped set up some years ago.

Andrena writes:

It was so life-giving to return to the Orphanage (for Mentally and Physically impaired) in Mexico.  Having been involved in setting it up during my time at the Mexican/US border, it was refreshing to see it functioning extremely, well and even growing.  I have continued to be involved in fundraising and networking with donors since I left there and managed to hook up with many of these in Texas before I crossed into Mexico.  During my Texas visit, I was invited to address a 'Mens' Bible Study Group' in Austin.  These Baptist business men are donors to a few missionary not-for-profit projects.  They had all kinds of questions from the Result of the Referendum in Ireland to Brexit and my thoughts on Pope Francis.  Many shared their reflection on the current state of the US.  All interesting.
