Remembering our Departed Sisters
Sr Maz Clyne, Unit Leader of England, writes on behalf of herself, Sr Mary Gaffney and Sr Helen Whelan:
Last week we visited the graves of our Sisters buried in Devon—it was a trip down memory lane with a difference. We felt very connected with our dear departed ones and the sense of ‘the communion of saints’ became very real indeed. I attach a photo taken in Barnstaple North Devon where the people had roads named in memory of us and situated in the housing development on the former Convent and School property e.g. St Joseph’s Road, Convent View, Marist Way! The Marists left there over 30 years ago but their memory still lives on in a beautiful way. Just sharing Easter joy with you— we have Alleluias to sing!
