A Marist Sister visits the UN

During our General Chapter of 2015, we Marist Sisters took the decision to apply for membership of a non-government organisation called UNANIMA International. UNANIMA is composed of small religious congregtations who share similar concerns and want to make a difference. Their collaboration makes possible a strong advocacy on behalf of women and children (particularly those living in poverty), immigrants and refugees, and the environment.

Sr Anne MCCabe has represented us from the start, applying successfully for the Marist Sisters to become a member and attending the bi-annual Board meetings. Anne is currently attending a UNANIMA meeting in New York and this time the schedule includes attendance at some UN sessions. From the initial visit Anne has sent the photos below. We look forward to hearing more.
