 Assembly in Fiji

Last week our Sisters in Fiji gathered together for their annual assembly. this year the main feature was a celebration of the Bicentennial Anniversary of a founding moment in the history fo the Marist sisters.

Sr Kate McPhee from Australia led the Sisters through a reflective process. She made good use of various rooms prepared by the Fijian communities to mark various stages in the life of our foundress, Jeanne-Marie Chavoin. Beginning in Coutouvre with Jeanne-Marie and her companion, Marie Jotillon, they moved through Cerdon and Bon Repos and finally arrived at Jarnosse.  The process helped the Sisters to connect with the realities of the time…the simplicity, the humility, the environment, prayer life and desire to do the will of God.
