Moving On... Moving In ...

New Convent in Nadi

Just prior to Christmas the Nadi community moved into the new house and chapel.

On 21st December the community gathered in the new Convent for prayer of thanksgiving.  There was great joy and excitement on the faces of the Sisters who had watched the building take shape over the time it took to build it.

The move is finally finished and the community have settled in and love their new home. It is a spacious, airy and light space with each room having an ensuite.

Fr. Lewis Henry sm, came and celebrated Mass in our new Chapel on Christmas Eve. We were joined by some parishioners who were happy to be able to join us for Mass.

While we were delighted to move into the new Convent – there was some sadness in leaving our old residence which had grown and changed over the 100 plus years.  It held a lot of memories for us… but it was time to move on.

We look back in gratitude, for all that has been and for all that is. For the Sisters in other Units who supported this new place through in prayer, finance and love.  Your interest and support has provide us with much encouragement. May God bless you all.

Letting Go ...

Old Convent in Nadi

The Sisters have handed the keys of the old Convent back to Fr. Lote sm, PP of Nadi Parish.  The parish are unsure at this stage how they will make us of the building but will need to renovate it.

However in mid-January it was used for a Women's Health Workshop. Some of the Sisters  attended along with a number of women and young girls a workshop which focused on making reuseable sanitary napkins.
