Collaboration with other branches of the  Marist family 

Sr Mary Farrelly represents the Marist Sisters on the Marist Family Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Committee.

"Here in Sydney in the Unit of Australia there are currently nine of us in the Marist Family JPIC group: five Marist Fathers, one of whom chairs the group, Andrew, the leader of the Marist Laity and one of the Marist laywomen, one Marist Missionary Sister and one Marist Sister. In the last two years, until recently, because of various constraints - principally the restrictions of Covid - all our meetings have been held via Zoom. As well as the Zoom discussions with the set agenda, we frequently exchange information via email, passingon matters of concern, notification of resources on You Tube, possible petitions to support etc. which we can then share with our respective communities. With so many issues related to justice in our world, the range of topics (both national and global) is considerable. While we are conscious of our own limitations, it is good to be aware of the needs so that we can at least join others around the globe in prayer."
