Recently CARITAS FIJI was given a new residence  where they can work as a team outside of the Archdiocesan Office. The Cluny Sisters have kindly offered their convent to Caritas. Sister Mariana Tevurega, our Unit Leader is also the Women's Co-Ordinator and Project Manager for any topics dealing with issues of abuse to women and children.

The Opening Mass took place in what used to be the Sisters' Community Room. Archbishop Peter Loy and his staff from the Curia and members of Caritas were present. He spoke on the valuable work of Caritas around the world and especially in Fiji.

Two weeks later, Caritas invited their family members to attend Family Day. The staff came with their spouses and children and after Mass, we all enjoyed a lovo meal of chicken, roasted pork and dalo.
