Celebrating 40 years of Marist Sisters in Mexico

On Sunday 3rd October, we celebrated 40 years since the first five Marist Sisters arrived in Mexico. The Sisters decided to celebrate with the people, so the Mass was in the parish church, which was presided over by the provincial of the Marist Fathers, Fr. Alejandro Muñoz, sm; and due to Covid we only had a few guests, including some Marist Brothers and a representative of the Lay Marists with his family, in addition to Nayeli's family.

The Mass was broadcast on Facebook, in such a way that many people could join us to join our thanksgiving. In the offertory we present a bouquet of flowers, in which each rose bore the name of each of the Sisters who has rendered their service in the country, to them, with them we communicate in a special way and we are very grateful to them.

After mass, we had a small meal, in which there was singing, anecdotes, laughter, games, plus a delicious iced cone cake.

The most beautiful thing was the video sent to us by a parish in Venezuela, from which we left more than 6 years ago, singing for us!
