Helping People to Meditate
Sr Torika Wong SM ministered for some years at the Nazareth Prayer Centre in Wailekutu, not far from Lami, Suva. She was part of a team led by Sister Denise McMahon SMSM offering opportunities to experience various forms of prayer, including meditation. A book that has been very helpful is " Why are we here?" was written by Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB.
Torika explains: "I made the effort to translate this booklet into Fijian because our Fijian speakers want to have something in Fijian. With the help of Sr. Denise SMSM and other Fijian editors, it is now published."
