A "Labour of Love" for 35 years

On 15 September, in St Bonnet-le-Troncy - the birth-place of Jean-Claude Colin - the doors of the Museum dedicated to our founder were closed for the last time. It was a sad day for M. François Chaume, curator for 35 years. For the final tasks of packing precious items he had the help of our Sisters - Teri and Denise, SM Fathers - Ray Chapman and Jan Hulshof and four Marist lay friends from Coutouvre. The 88 year-old François not only worked hard to close the museum, but prepared a display in the Church with a guest book to keep Fr Colin's memory alive. The helpers brought a picnic to celebrate years of dedication inspiring countless visitors since the 1980s.

May God bless François and his wife and all who have collaborated with them over the years!
They are true Marists "hidden and unknown" working quietly behind the scenes as Mary did!
